
September 2001
September 20-28: White and green ribbons were sold by board members for a minimum donation of $1.00. The proceeds from the ribbons were sent to the Red Cross to aid families of the victims of the World Trade Center attack. The green ribbon promotes unity and peace and is inscribed with the phrase "We Stand United". The white ribbon stands for relief and recovery of the families of the World Trade Center victims. It is inscribed with "World Trade Center Relief".
September 22: Interact members went to the grand opening of Walmart to help the D.A.R.E officers spread drug awareness.
September 30: Interact members went to Lowes to help D.A.R.E officers spread drug awareness.
October 2001
October 6: For Old Bridge Day, Interact members assisted the D.A.R.E booth.
October 13: A car wash was held at the West Campus field house from 10 am to 4 pm. All proceeds went go to the "Gift of Life". Cars were washed at $5 and SUVs and vans were $6. The event was successful.
October 17: Bingo with Senior Citizens at the Rotary Senior Housing Building on Ticetown Road.
October 22: Interact members met to paint pumpkins at Old Bridge East Cafeteria until 5 pm. The pumpkins went to Raritan Bay Medical Center as decorations for the patients in the hospital.
October 27: Interact Clubs from all over New Jersey went to Sandy Hook for the semi-annual Beach Sweep. The outcome was very good as much of the beach was cleaned.
November 2001
November 5-16: Non-perishable foods were collected in homerooms. All members were asked to donate at least 2 cans. Cans were then picked up Wednesday the 7th and Friday the 14th and stored in the Math Book Storage room. The homeroom with the most cans received a Donut Breakfast!
November 17:Cans were placed in food baskets and then given to the less fortunate of Old Bridge.
November 28 - December 4: Various chocolates were sold throughout the school as a fundraiser.
December 2001
December 12: Gifts that were donated to the Old Bridge Interact Club are going to be wrapped my club members after school. The gifts will then be delivered to the children at Bayshore Hospital.
December 15: Winter Grams were delivered.
January 2002
January 18: The First Annual Charity Snow-Ball is held. Manalapan High School, Freehold High School, Matawan Regional High School, East Brunswick High School, Marlboro High School, and Sayerville High School will also be attending the event. Tickets cost $4 or $5 if you buy at the door. Proceeds go to United Way, the Afghani Women, and Afghani Children. Complimentary refreshments will be served and the DJ will be taking requests all night. A dance contest will be held as well. Points will be awarded to schools, and the school with the most points wins $200 for their club. Each sold ticket is worth 2 points. Tickets sold at the door are worth 1 point. And the winner of the dance contest gets 10 points for their school. Old Bridge profits went to Rotoplast.

January 28th - February 11th:Carnations will be sold for Valentine's Day

March 22: Bunny grams are delivered
April 2002
April 20:Senior Citizens dance was held. Food, dancing, and entertainment were parts of the joyous event.
April 27: Beach Sweep Starts at 9 AM and ends at 12-1. (Members are transported to Sandy Hook to clean trash on the beach)
April 28: March of Dimes 8 mile run/walk will be held at Rutgers Louis Brown Athletic Center in Piscataway. The event starts at 8 AM and runs until around 12ish. Proceeds goes to saving tiny babies.
May 2002
May 25: The semi-annual Car Wash is going to be held. Profits go to the Interact treasury. Rain date is May 26th.
